Part of being a wedding photographer is shooting in circumstances that are not ideal. You can plan all you want, but more often than not things don’t go according to how you want them and you just have to work with what you have without making excuses or blaming the situation. During Christine and Robert’s engagement session, there were a lot of people around which made it tricky to shoot. It would have been easy to let that ruin the shoot, but instead I chose to let it force me to be creative by finding ways to frame out people (or include them), finding and using dramatic light, and creating quiet and intimate moments for Christine and Robert despite the crowds of people everywhere.
