This was a very special shoot for me because it was the first time that I shot with Kibo. When I was initially talking with Jessica and Winston about their family shoot, they casually suggested bringing Kibo along. Although I agreed, I was a little bit nervous because I wasn’t sure how Kibo would behave, especially with their 8 month old son Brayden.
For the shoot, I attached Kibo to my belt loop with a long cable and shot as I would on any other occasion. To my relief and surprise, everything was okay. Kibo was (for the most part) well behaved, Brayden was adorable, and Jessica and Winston were easygoing and cool. Kibo made a few cameos (read: photobombs), Brayden was one of the happiest babies I’ve ever met, and everyone (including myself) had a good time. Maybe next time I’ll even give Kibo a camera and have him be my second shooter.
